A team of 105 cyclists is taking on a Paris-Beijing tour to cheer for the upcoming summer Olympics. The team has reached northwest China's Gansu province.

The cyclists were spotted Tuesday on the street of the provincial capital Lanzhou, local newspaper Lanzhou Daily reported.

The team, which started off in Paris on March 16 and entered Chinese territory on June 16, is scheduled to arrive in Beijing on August 3. Through the four-and-half-month journey, the cyclists will finish a distance of about 12,000 kilometers.

Most of the team members are French, together with riders from Germany, Belgium, Canada, Spain, the United States, and China. The age range of the team members is from 20 to 76.

The team also includes a blind member, who shares a specially-made bike with his brother.
